I am a PhD candidate in political science at the University of California, San Diego. My research interests include the politics of economic reform, dollarization, and capital account liberalization. My dissertation investigates the political economy of banking regulations and capital controls in developed and developing countries. I explain the timing and nature of liberalization of regulations of foreign currency deposits.

This fall, I will be joining the faculty at Trinity College in Hartford, CT as a visiting assistant professor.  I’ll be teaching intro to international relations, a class on global poverty, and other IPE related classes.
